Maha’s Couture UK – Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy
Last updated: August 2026
At Maha’s Couture UK, we take pride in offering luxury Pakistani and Asian fashion, including wedding wear, formal wear, party wear and occasionwear. We carefully inspect our products before dispatch.
Please read this Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy before placing an order.
This policy applies to purchases made through our online store. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any statutory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
1. Online Returns and Cancellation Rights
UK Online Orders
For eligible goods purchased online, UK consumers generally have a statutory right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
This statutory cancellation right is subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Important: The statutory cancellation right may apply to eligible online purchases even where an item was purchased at a sale, discounted or promotional price. Our sale-item restriction below therefore applies to voluntary returns and exchanges for change of mind, and does not remove any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
European Union Online Orders
For eligible goods delivered to customers in the European Union, consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal period from the date the goods are received, without needing to provide a reason.
After notifying us of the withdrawal, the goods should normally be returned within a further 14 days.
EU consumer rights may vary in their application depending on the customer's country and applicable law.
Cancellation Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will try to stop the order before dispatch where reasonably possible.
However, if the order has already been dispatched, the applicable cancellation and return procedure will apply.
2. Sale, Discounted and Clearance Items
No Voluntary Returns or Exchanges for Change of Mind
Sale, discounted and clearance items are not eligible for voluntary returns or exchanges due to change of mind.
This includes, but is not limited to, situations where the customer:
- Changes their mind
- Orders the wrong size
- No longer wants the item
- Changes their preferred colour or style
- Decides they do not like the item
- Finds the item unsuitable for an event
- Purchases the wrong design
- Simply prefers another item
We do not offer voluntary exchanges on sale, discounted or clearance items.
However, this restriction does not affect statutory consumer rights. Where the law gives a customer a right to cancel an eligible online purchase, or where an item is faulty, defective, incorrect, not as described or otherwise does not meet applicable consumer-law requirements, those legal rights remain unaffected.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.
3. Condition of Returned Items
Where a return is legally permitted or otherwise approved by Maha’s Couture UK, items should be returned in the condition in which they were received.
Where applicable, items should be:
- Unworn and unused
- Unwashed
- Free from perfume, makeup, stains, marks or damage
- Returned with all original tags attached
- Returned in their original packaging where reasonably possible
- Accompanied by proof of purchase, order confirmation or receipt
Customers may handle goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality, in a manner similar to how they could examine them in a shop.
If an item has been used, worn, damaged or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
4. Items That May Be Excluded From Change-of-Mind Returns
Certain goods may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights where a lawful exemption applies.
This may include, depending on the circumstances:
- Custom-made or personalised garments
- Items that have been altered specifically at the customer's request
- Certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
- Other goods falling within a statutory exemption
Where a statutory exemption applies, we will identify it clearly before or at the time of purchase where required.
5. How to Request a Return
Please contact us before sending an item back.
Email: mahascoutureuk@gmail.com
WhatsApp: +44 7480 811 488
Please provide:
- Your order number
- Your name
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return, where relevant
- Photographs where the item is damaged, faulty or incorrect
We will provide return instructions where appropriate.
Please do not send an item to us without first contacting us, as this may delay the processing of your return.
6. Return Address
Unless we provide different instructions, approved returns should be sent to:
Maha’s Couture UK
638 Stockport Road
Longsight
Manchester
M13 0SH
United Kingdom
7. Return Postage
For a permitted change-of-mind return, the customer is generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided we informed the customer of this requirement before the purchase.
Where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, we will deal with the return in accordance with applicable consumer law and will not improperly pass legally required return costs to the customer.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service when returning an item.
Maha’s Couture UK cannot accept responsibility for a return parcel that is lost in transit where the customer has chosen and arranged the return shipment.
8. Refunds
Once a returned item has been received, we may inspect it to confirm its condition and eligibility.
For a valid statutory cancellation, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable law.
Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until:
- We have received the returned goods; or
- The customer provides evidence that the goods have been returned,
whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
For eligible statutory cancellations, the refund will include the applicable standard delivery charge paid by the customer. We are not required to reimburse additional delivery costs where the customer selected a more expensive delivery option.
Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to process the refund after we issue it.
9. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If your item is:
- Faulty
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Significantly different from its description
please contact us promptly at:
mahascoutureuk@gmail.com
Please provide your order number and clear photographs where appropriate.
We will investigate the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
This applies whether the item was purchased at full price, on sale, at a discounted price or as part of a clearance promotion.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights regarding faulty, defective, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.
10. Exchanges
Maha’s Couture UK does not provide a general exchange service for change-of-mind purchases.
Where an exchange is offered, it is subject to availability and the applicable eligibility requirements.
Sale, discounted and clearance items are not eligible for voluntary exchanges for change of mind.
If a customer has a statutory legal remedy because an item is faulty, incorrect, defective or not as described, the appropriate remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
11. Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at checkout, including:
- Full name
- Delivery address
- Postcode
- Telephone number
- Email address
If incorrect or incomplete information is provided and this results in additional delivery or return costs, we may seek to recover reasonable costs where permitted by law.
Please contact us immediately if you notice an error in your delivery information after placing an order.
12. Refused or Unclaimed Parcels
If a parcel is refused, not collected, or returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, failure to accept delivery, or failure to pay applicable import duties or taxes, please contact us as soon as possible.
Any refund or deduction will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the order.
We may deduct reasonable costs that we are legally entitled to recover.
13. International Orders and Customs
Customers outside the United Kingdom may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees and other charges imposed by the destination country.
These charges are outside our control and may be payable directly to the relevant customs authority or courier.
Failure to pay applicable import charges may result in delays or the parcel being returned.
Any resulting refund or deduction will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
14. Quality Control and Fraud Prevention
For quality-control and fraud-prevention purposes, we may inspect, photograph or video-record items before dispatch.
This may include documenting:
- The condition of the garment
- Labels and tags
- Packaging
- Embellishments
- Product contents
- Size and colour
These records may be used when investigating disputes, damaged-item claims, return requests or incorrect-item claims.
15. Luxury and Occasionwear
Many of our products are luxury, wedding, bridal, formal and occasionwear garments.
Before purchasing, customers are encouraged to carefully review:
- Product description
- Fabric information
- Colour
- Size information
- Measurements
- Product photographs
- Delivery information
If you require assistance with sizing, colour or product information, please contact us before placing your order.
WhatsApp: +44 7480 811 488
16. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any rights that consumers have under applicable consumer protection law.
Consumers have statutory rights relating to goods being, among other things, as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. These rights cannot simply be removed by a store policy.
Where applicable law gives you rights that are more favourable than the terms of this policy, those legal rights will apply.
